Can the East Bay support two great blogs (this one and another one)? Why sure. Proof of that is in the Beast Blog, because East Bay is pig latin for Beast.
In addition to unravelling such intracacies of the language, the Beast Blog will let you in on what’s happening in arts and culture in various neighborhoods.

When promoting your real estate blog — or any other web site — one strategy you should definitely not ignore is submitting your site to important directories. Yahoo and DMOZ are definitely worth submission if serious traffic is in your future, but minor directories can also contribute a boost. And though incoming links from authority sites with themes related to your site will help your web site most, there’s nothing wrong with getting a few “general” incoming links as well, especially from if the links are free and non-reciprocating.
Although the lists below include many directory types — reciprocating, non-reciprocating, and paid, I’m an especially big fan of free incoming links. Assuming your email address isn’t used to spam you (I use a “throwaway” for such purposes), a link that you don’t pay for from a site that doesn’t require you to link back is the closest thing to a free lunch that the Internet has to offer. Go for it if you can.
An invaluable list I just came across is SEO Company’s list of Web Directory Resources. Another excellent resource I’ve used that’s more blog-specific is Google’s List of Blog Directories. Real Estate bloggers looking to get noticed should also check out Google’s list of Real Estate Directories.

Now that’s a nice approach if he can pull it off: “We’ve partnered with the top NC realtors in each market to bring you a one-stop solution to finding homes in North Carolina.” See the blog at http://nchomes.silkblogs.com.
In other words: put up a blog for the whole state, and then sell referrals. I like the cut of his gib.
On the other hand, ouch. I hate it when you get cut in the gib.
I was working on a directory to do something similar for California, but the solution seemed to point to a site that was too loaded up with computer-generated content, and I really hate that. Also it occured to me that my main bread and butter to date was going after one and only one local market at a time.
Having said that, I put up two web sites.
Some of us just are addicted to typing, I suspect.

So lamented Kermit the Frog. On the other hand, San Francisco Realtor® Michelle makes it look easy with her Organic Realtor® blog.
An uncharitable soul might argue that all of real estate is organic, because we salespeople spread manure around liberally and see what grows.
But being in the business myself, I won’t present that case myself.

Well, ParticleWave is more or less up and running, and we just need to flesh it out with some articles about Real Estate Blogs and the like, and spread the word to other bloggers that this resource is here. Special thanks to Charles Johnson, whose outstanding Feedwordpress Plugin turned this three week task into something more like five hours. Thanks as well to Ed Rosenthal who had the courage to be the first person besides me to offer up his feed to be syndicated here.
If you have a real estate blog and would like to be added to the directory, please drop us an email:
