Technology

At ParticleWave, we believe in what the Greek's meant by technologia -- "the systematic treatment of an art". To us, that means that specializing is not a good thing either for us or our customers. We spend an enormous amount of time training, reading, trying new things, and we share what we learn with others. Here are just some of the environments and technologies we've worked with:

Server side web development:
Our server-side web development experience spans a host of tools including Apache (on Linux and Windows), Netscape SuiteSpot, IPlanet, JRun, ServletExec and others. Our primary focus on the server side are the Java based technologies, servlets and JSP (Java Server Pages), but we've also provided solutions in ASP and Perl.

Database development:
We have worked with customers on Oracle 8 (OCI, PL/SQL, JDBC). Other database environments we've worked with include Foxpro, Access, Interbase, DB2, and MySQL. We have experience doing ER modelling with tools such as ERWin and Visio, and are adept at translating application or business requirements into robust database design.

Client side web development:
ParticleWave hand-codes our web sites to be great looking, easy to navigate, to load in a heartbeat, to work on all browsers and at all resolutions, and to make your company look great. Naturally, we're adept at HTML, XML, DHTML, Javascript, CSS, etc.

Object Oriented Programming for the Desktop:
We have over ten years of experience in a variety of object oriented languages and environments. Our Windows and C++ experience goes back to 1990, when Windows 3.0 was the latest thing and the Internet was still the exclusive domain of technically savvy Unix users. We have used every version of Visual C++ since the 1.0 "demo". In addition, we have worked extensively with Java (since about 1996) and Borland's Delphi (versions 3.0 to 5.0).
